Fun and New Stuff

July is a good month. I’m focusing on starting my new job! Wahoo! I’m moving to a school A LOT closer to home. That is one benefit, but more importantly, I feel like it is home and where I am suppose to be. I’m not sure why God led me here, but He did and I’m so excited. I’ll still be teaching pre-algebra to 8th graders, so I can use a lot of my same resources. I’m going working on my unit plans still, but it’s coming a long. I’m hopeful that July will provide some more time for me to focus on them! I love gathering/making resources for my lessons. I’ve typed up my units for the most part in word, but I think I’m going to transfer them to Both lesson plans and long range plans can be added.

July is also a good month because it was one year ago this month that I started this blog. I’m SO glad that I did too!

July is a good month because I decided to join the Jamberry team! Check out the designs and be sure to use me as your independent consultant!

Here are my nails, I love them!

  1. Thanks for sharing the common curriculum site. It looks amazing and I am going to start looking at it right now. Good luck at your new school. Being close to home is wonderful. I live 3 minutes from work if I hit the green lights and 5 minutes with red lights. I feel blessed especially when we have our wonderful Chicago winters:)

  2. I am in LOVE with this lesson planning site! Lesson planning has been a pain since I started teaching. I think this just might make it enjoyable. I saw your pics, googled the site, and immediately created a free account. I’m inputting my lessons right now. This is going to be the year that I conquer lesson planning! Thank you so much for sharing!

    • I know right! It’s great and easy to use! I always change like a billion times through out the school year on how to do my lesson planning. I think this will make it much easier and faster. Finally, something to stick with! 🙂
